AKA hat die Indoor-Reifen Slingshot umbenennen müssen, da bereits von Pro-Line ein Sand-Reifen mit gleicher Bezeichnung angeboten wird. Ab etwa Januar 2014 sind die Ex-Slingshot mit sonst unveränderten Eigenschaften unter der Bezeichnung „Typo“ (engl. Druck- oder Tippfehler) erhältlich. Vorbildlich und dringend zur Nachahmung empfohlen ist das faire Verhalten beider Akteure in diesem Fall, die „lieber auf der Rennstrecke als vor Gericht gegeneinander kämpfen“. AKA would like to announce a name change to our Slingshot 1:10 tires. As it turns out, we are much better at designing tires than we are at checking to see if names are already in use within our industry. For this reason we have decided to change the name of our Slingshot tires to Typo. While you will see some tires on the shelves with the old name, the new Typo branded tires will be hitting the shelves in late December and early January. We would like to thank Proline for working with us on this mistake and for keeping our battles on the race track instead of in the court room.
